We love Ontario
And we want to share it

At Days Out Ontario we love exploring our province, finding hidden gems, and sharing our finds with others. Ontario has such a diverse collection of outdoor adventures, historic attractions, unique dining experiences, and charming communities, and we encourage everyone to get out and experience them.

To make planning a trip in Ontario as fun and hassle-free as possible, we’ve:

  • chosen must-do activities, restaurants, and accommodations and arranged these in pre-planned Trips
  • created a searchable database of great places to stay, museums, diners, and great activities, so you can find the exact right destination for you
  • created Best Of lists to match just about every interest, so you can efficiently travel the province for the best bird watching spots, top butter tarts, or greatest beaches
  • made a trip planner where you can take locations you’ve shortlisted and organize them into trips and see a map showing the locations of the stops on your trip

We hope the ideas found on this site will inspire you to discover Ontario and head out on an adventure.

Caitlin Carpenter

Founder

Caitlin enjoys heading out onto Ontario’s backroads to find the best flea markets, tea rooms, hiking trails, and quaint villages as well as taking advantage of the many amazing art galleries, tapas bars, fashion boutiques, and reimagined historic buildings in Ontario’s towns and cities.

Caitlin got the travel bug early as she spent her early years travelling around with her mom, Donna Carpenter (author of the popular Daytripper book series), on research day trips. Caitlin became a natural critic as she ventured into caves, panned for gold, learned to luge with an Olympian, camped at nearly every provincial park, and ate at every type of restaurant.

Today, Caitlin is a Communications and Marketing specialist, working with businesses in the travel field and other sectors to develop comprehensive communications strategies and implement marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and engage with their audiences.
